Fifteen years ago, my friend Gary Barkalow and I shared our frustrations (at least our disenchantment) with traditional New Year’s Resolutions. We decided to take time that year (and each January since) to seek something deeper, an understanding of God’s activity in our lives, to see where God is taking us.

It’s an annual practice that has me examine my life in prayer, understanding what God is saying and doing, and then choosing to cooperate with these divine movements.
I’ve practiced this “Transcendent Pursuit” for the last fifteen years, and it’s great! It’s a spiritual practice that I absolutely treasure and love. But I’ve never written or podcasted about it.
Until now.
Last week, I recorded my latest Podcast that I call, “Embracing Transcendent Pursuits.” I invite you to listen and consider a Transcendent Pursuit for yourself. I hope you find the practice half as valuable as I do.
By focusing on spiritual growth through reflection and divine cooperation, my hope is that we can cultivate a deeper relationship with God throughout the year. I invite you to listen. It’s a short podcast, only 23 minutes.
Try it. You’ll like it.
