We are all influenced by a mixture of spiritual mentors throughout our lives. Tim Keller has spoken deeply into my life through literally hundreds of sermons and his books. If you listen to my Heart Lessons, you’ll see many of his messages regarding: identity, idolatry (he’s opposed!), the cross, apologetics, and God’s love.
Gary Barkalow writes and lives a life deep in the understanding Calling from God. He has given me hope and clarity, and increased my sense of Christ’s love for me. Do whatever you can to attend one of his Calling Retreats or read his book, Its Your Call.
There are too many other spiritual mentors to mention, but I will add one more. The more I live my life, the more I realize my debt to my parents. The taught me the gospel, they taught me how to hear God, and they loved me more than I deserved. Thanks to both of them for speaking and modeling the gospel.
